Important information about our actions during the current COVID-19 pandemic
As part of our commitment to our guests, we want to inform you that the entire team at Hotel Casa de las Fuentes is carefully following all the guidelines on COVID-19 and other infections, so we have implemented the protocols of the “Good practices for the prevention of COVID-19 and other infections for lodging establishments ” recommended by the Ministry of Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS) of the Government of Guatemala and the Guatemalan Tourism Institute (INGUAT) also the «Biosafety protocols for the tourism sector in Guatemala »Recommended by the Chamber of Tourism of Guatemala (CAMTUR).
Hotel Casa de las Fuentes is putting into practice strict controls and cleaning and disinfection procedures in all our rooms, common areas, reception, lounges and restaurant . The safety and well-being of our guests and collaborators will continue to be our priority. We appreciate your preference in advance and we will continue to provide you with the good services that characterize us. See below a summary of our protocols.

Our staff
Personal protection equipment
We have provided our collaborators with personal protective equipment such as face masks, face shields, gloves, hygiene and disinfection products.
Supervision of Personal Protective Equipment
We constantly supervise and verify the physical condition of the personal protective equipment of our collaborators.
Training on prevention of COVID-19 and other Infections
We constantly train our collaborators on prevention against the spread of COVID-19 and other infections.
Creation of Protocol Committee
We have appointed a protocol committee in charge of keep daily control and a log of personnel entering the establishment, taking the temperature by means of an infrared thermometer when entering, mid-shift and when leaving.
Our rooms
Room disinfection
All our rooms prior to making a check-in of our guests have been disinfected and sterilized according to the protocol of good practices for the prevention of COVID-19 and other infections of the Ministry of Health and Social Assistance of Guatemala and INGUAT.
Change and replacement of bed linen and towels
All the bed linen and towels in our rooms have been previously disinfected and these are changed for a new set of linen and towels when cleaning and disinfecting our rooms.
Surface cleaning
Surfaces such as floors, walls, knobs, remote controls, switches, table lamps, bedside tables, cabinets and furniture, are disinfected through the application of certified virucidal, fungicides and bactericides.
Bathroom cleaning
Cleaning of surfaces such as walls, floors, sinks, toilets, soap dishes and amenities are disinfected through the application of certified virucidal, fungicidal and bactericidal.


Reception
Taking temperature and application of alcohol gel
The temperature of all visitors and guests who wish to enter our facilities will be taken, likewise, alcohol gel will be provided for hand disinfection.
Handover of keys and TV controls
All room keys and television controls will be disinfected. Our reception staff will place your key and control in a designated envelope for delivery.
Virtual check-in
When confirming your reservation, we will send you a link where you can make your check-in virtually.
Baggage disinfection
All luggage must be disinfected, for this we have a special area for the correct disinfection of luggage.
Common areas
Disinfection stations
We have installed disinfection stations in all our common areas such as reception, hallways, lounges and restaurant area
Delimitation and labeling of common areas
In order to maintain the social distancing of 1.5 meters, we have delimited the social areas and labeled with preventive, informative and prohibition signs in our facilities.
Mandatory use of masks
All guests and visitors of Hotel Casa de las Fuentes will be asked to wear masks while they remain in common areas, such as reception, hallways, gardens, lounges.
Cleaning of common areas
All the common areas of the Hotel Casa de las Fuentes will be being disinfected daily with the application of virucidal, fungicide and bactericidal.
